Recent versions of CSI software have been released with the option of Cloud Sign-In Licensing. Cloud Sign-In licensing is a CSI cloud-hosted licensing system that allows you to use a secure sign-in credential to access your CSI software. This offers greater security and flexibility in how you access and use your software.

Effective July 1, 2025, only Cloud Sign-In Licensing will be available for all new releases of CSI software products. No other form of licensing (standalone, network or cloud key) will be available for new releases.

Licenses for the latest versions of SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, CSiBridge, Perform3D and CSiPlant can be converted at no cost to a Cloud Sign-in License through the CSI Customer Center. For older versions, please contact our Sales Department for an upgrade quote or to inquire about making the switch.

If you have questions about the security of Cloud Sign-In Licenses, please review the Cloud Sign-In Security FAQ page in our Knowledge Base. The software is still installed and run on the users' local hardware, and model data is completely under user control. Cloud Sign-In licensing simply authorizes the software to run based on the assets licensed from CSI.

Effective October 1, 2024, USB Keys have been phased out completely. New USB keys are not issued and support is not provided for any keys still in use. We encourage users of USB keys to convert to Cloud Sign-In Licensing as soon as possible. There is no cost to convert to Cloud Sign-In licensing, but upgrade fees may apply to older-version software.
